The organisers of PAICEplus in Sydney have made the decision to cancel the exhibition due to a lack of forward sales four months before the event was due to take place. Stu Freeman, of ProMag Publishing, says the market was generally enthusiastic about the event, but there was a feeling that with tight budgets and uncertainty still surrounding some sectors of the industry that this was not a suitable time to launch a new show. Freeman says it was regrettable to make such a decision, but after lengthy consideration it was decided that cancelling the event was the correct and responsible thing to do. PAICEplus was to be a joint venture between ProMag Publishing and Rank Publishing, and both partners have agreed not to proceed. Freeman thanked those companies which had signed up and says all of them have been personally contacted and advised of the decision.
The decision does not effect any other events being held by ProMag Publishing - all of which are progressing well and are set to be as successful as usual.
